Mini Touring Weekend incorporating the Observation Run
APRIL 17-18 APRIL 2021
Meeting will be at Lilydale Lake Melway P38 G7
9.00am for a 9.30am start for an Observation Run to Cockatoo for morning tea.
After morning tea we will then depart on a scenic touring run on great roads to overnight at Rawson.
Sunday – optional scenic run to Walhalla taking in the delights of this town, a mine tour or a ride on the railway down the scenic Walhalla Gorge.
Accommodation is at Rawson Village - 20 Rooms Available with Ensuite . Further rooms in the lodges. Please note accommodation is basic but clean.
Single Motel Rooms inc. Dinner and Breakfast $160 1 person
Double Motel Room inc. Dinner and Breakfast $260 2 people
Overflow once motel is filled, will be in the lodge rooms with shared facilities linen provided $120 Dinner and Breakfast 1 person.
Bar will be open.
BYO lunches and morning teas. There is very limited scavenging opportunities en route. Bakery at Cockatoo and very a small bakery at Grantfield. Limited eating at Walhalla or Noojee Pub depending on table space.
No shops or fuel at Erica, Rawson or Noojee. It is advisable to carry a full spare fuel can. You must start with full tanks and refuel at Neerim South on Saturday.
Walhalla Goldfields railway tickets can be booked. Adults $20.00, family 2 adults and 2 kids $50.00. Train departs 11am and 1pm from Walhalla. You may be able to purchase tickets on the day depending on availability.

Total distance Saturday is 119kms including 7-8kms of excellent gravel surface.Sunday depends on Walhalla tour run and route home.
