1926 Rover 9

Having already started what I call a 'build thread' elsewhere, I will just introduce myself and the car, and provide a link to the actual build.

Our family and I have had Rovers since the early 50s, ranging from a 1947 16hp  through almost all the post war models to SD1s of 1980, 1986, then a Range Rover and a couple of Discoveries. When I retired and got bored and moody the wife suggested a friend and I build a car - so we did - a NZ kit car named Almac  - see here

This was done in under 6 months, run around the country, bit of track work, boredom comes back. Next project needed. Looked briefly at a 1912-13 Rover motorcycle on ebay - fully dismantled, dont know if its all there, and it was sold for $12k! So I start looking for a vintage Rover, and blow me down I find a largely restored car within budget. The owner had got 80% done and passed away last year. Lots of receipts and pictures, some original manuals and paperwork. It last changed hands in the 80s, and before that late 40s. All the mechanicals restored in the early 90s, mostly new timber and bodywork. So here I am -  pictures are at

Build thread is at http://www.oldclassiccar.co.uk/forum/phpbb/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=18536&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0&sid=54e58f057bce60d9bbb44f46e6c8c2dc   and I plan to keep updating this thread.

Since I am new to the restoration process, no doubt I will make mistakes, so feel free to tell me please.

Hope somebody finds it interesting.
