The VDC forum is a place where members can discuss and share information about their vehicles and the club.
You have to be logged in to the website to be able to add items to the forums.
If you would like to create a new topic let us know by adding an items to this message.
Apart from the topics already listed, I would find it useful to have sub forums divided into either makes (Chevy, Dodge, etc) or origin (American, English, French etc), and within these members could start a topic for their own car(s) as they feel necessary. This would make it easy for anyone looking for help on a specific make to locate somebody who knows the relevant make.
The American Antique Car forum (forums.aaca.org) do this and I find it very easy to navigate to any area of interest.
There should also be a ban on businesses posting items for sale.
I added a link to a jpg in my photobucket collection and its not resolving - What have I done wrong please?
Having made a post, can we have a quick way to get back to front page of the forum, rather than having to go Back, Back, Back , please?
Would also be useful to have an option on posts for email notification of a response. That way I will know when there is a new post without having to check daily. So far no response to my query of 5 Sept in Q&A, so I will stop holding my breath. Or to how to embed or link to pictures?
The wanted section says I can add a new ad when I am logged in - cannot see a way to do that? So far all I seem to be able to do is make comments.
Do we still need an admin to start a new topic for us? No wonder there are so few posts.
John , I just got in and placed an ad without any problems give me a call if you wish. Val
Thanks Val, I must have been having a Senior Moment - see it clearly now.
I note that all posts to the forum are listed as anonymous despite the member having to logged in to post or reply.
Is there any way of having your identity or avatar being shown as the author?
Disregard my last. It appears that after I logged in the system needed to refresh before showing the ID of authors - all good.
